From hockey to handball to wheelchair basketball, the new Smurfs show off their sporty side in the Happy Meal. In typical Smurf style, they illustrate the values of community, sportsmanship and inclusion. From July 25th to September 4th, 2024, one of 15 figures can be chosen as a toy in the Happy Meal in McDonald’s restaurants in Germany.
A 16th figure is available exclusively for McDonald’s app users. The Olympic idea “Being there is everything” takes on a special meaning: it goes without saying that sports for people with and without disabilities are given equal status. Four of the Sports Smurfs in the Happy Meal have a visible disability. Inclusion can also be experienced by the little guests in a playful way.
